The family wanted a dedicated space to unwind and entertain, so we designed a club-style den: tan leather chesterfield sofas, exposed brick walls, a tufted ottoman with an inbuilt chessboard and bold playing-card artwork under warm, dramatic lighting.
The rest of the home offers a calm counterpoint — serene bedrooms in soft neutrals, a well-organised wardrobe area and clean, contemporary detailing throughout.

How does a den like this sit alongside the rest of the home?
By deliberate contrast. The den is moody and saturated; the bedrooms and wardrobe areas are done in soft neutrals with clean contemporary detailing, so the house has one room with a strong personality rather than a strong personality everywhere.
Can a themed room be added to a home that is already designed?
